Serendipitous resurfacing is the intentional act of randomly revisiting notes or ideas in a Zettelkasten or similar system to provoke unexpected insights, reinforce memory, or discover new connections.

This may also be known as:

  • Random resurfacing

  • Stochastic resurfacing

  • Exploratory resurfacing

  • Non-linear review
