In grappling arts such as BJJ, Judo, and wrestling arm drags are a common and versatile offensive maneuver.
In its simplest form, an arm drag involves a cross grip on the opponent’s arm, usually underhand and gripping at or above the elbow with an inside hook grip. Tori’s hand will usually be between uke’s inner arm and body. Tori uses this grip to pull their opponent’s arm across their own body, exposing their opponent’s back.
There are many variations and details to arm drags to make them more effective.
