hand fighting

0001-01-01

In grappling contexts such as BJJ, Judo, and wrestling, hand fighting (or grip fighting) refers to a set of tactics, systems, and techniques used to trap and immobilize the opponent’s hands, thus stunting their opponent’s offensive capabilities.

Hand fighting occurs both on the ground and standing.

In Judo, hand/grip fighting is known as “kumi-kata”
