closed guard overhook control

0001-01-01

In BJJ, closed guard while overhooking one of the opponent’s arms and grabbing their far side lapel is an excellent form of control, with several submission opportunities.

In no gi contexts, this same control can be achieved by placing the non-overhooked hand on the opponent’s shoulder or neck, then grabbing the forearm with the overhooked arm in a kimura-like grip.
