This lasso guard sweep is similar to lasso guard sweep - 4, but the opponent being swept counters by posting out on their elbow that is being controlled by the lasso and stepping up with their far leg, typically inserting their knee between the agressor’s legs to make it harder for the aggressor to regain their guard off of the failed sweep.
To counter this counter, the aggressor can hip escape away from their opponent, giving them enough space to get a shin to shin hook on their opponent’s far leg. Since the opponent will be based with their weight forward on their elbow and knee, the rear/far leg will not have much weight on it, making it easy to lift with the shin to shin hook and manipulate. From here, the aggressor can pull inwards with their lasso while simultaneously using their shin to shin hook to hook sweep their opponent similar to the classic butterfly guard hook sweep..
