This is a similar BJJ lasso guard sweep to lasso guard sweep - 2, but the opponent on the receiving end of the lasso guard is able to stand and avoid getting their near leg grabbed or underhooked by the aggressor.
Rather than grabbing the near leg, the aggressor can turn into/against the direction of the guard pass and reach their opponent’s far leg. From here, the aggressor can shoot their hips up and triangle their legs, initiating an omoplata-like sweep.
