Lasso guard in BJJ is a guard in which the aggressor controls their opponent’s wrist, typically by gripping the cuff or sleeve of their gi, then wraps a leg around the controlled arm. This effectively causes their opponent to have a compromised base and arm, opening them up for a variety of sweeps and submissions.
