word list

A word list is a file containing a lists of words that match a specific theme. These themes may be common usernames, passwords, parameter names, magic numbers, sports teams, patterns that may reveal the presence of software bugs, words in different languages, etc.

Wordlists are applied broadly in cybersecurity applications such as password recovery, fuzz testing, attacking login systems, and quality assurance testing.
