r-commands

The Berkeley r-commands are a suite of programs that allow users of Unix systems to log in, run programs, retrieve files, and other such tasks over a computer network.

Some of the programs in the suite include:

  • rcp (remote copy)
  • rexec (remote execute)
  • rlogin (remote login)
  • rsh (remote shell)
  • rstat
  • ruptime
  • rwho (remote who)
